Add Dimension With Folded Circle Flowers

This card is wonderful! I love how Fun Scrap Moms have given such great details on how to create it! Looks like a great card to scraplift for my next card making party…… with of course changes to maybe…… Mother’s Day Card? My mind is working overtime!

Fun Scrap Moms

Hello everyone! here are some instructions of making some easy circle flowers that can really add a lot to a card or other project. With Valentine’s Day coming up I thought it might be fun to make one of these flowers with the Cheerful Valentine’s Day Addition and add it to a cute V-Day card.

To start making the flowers you will need your Circle Maker (or you could use your Custom Cutting System) to make two circles.

Take each circle and fold it into eights.

Cut inward on each of the fold lines towards, but not quite all the way, to the center.

Take each petal and fold it downwards in half.

Using a Foam Square layer the flowers so the the colors of the petals alternate.

Punch a scalloped circle with the Scalloped Circle Maker and cut inward almost to the center of each scallop to make…

Another way to make my life easier!

The WordPress.com Blog

We’re excited to share some new features that will make it even faster to create content on your WordPress.com site.

Drag & Drop Uploads

The media uploader now supports drag and drop!

You’ll be able to use the new drag and drop media uploader wherever you need to upload your media files – while writing a Post or Page, or directly in the Media Library. In fact while you’re creating a post, you’ll notice now there’s just one icon to represent all of the different media files you’ll upload called “Add Media“:

After you’ve clicked that, find those image/music/video/other files you need on your computer, drag them over and drop them into the WordPress interface, and watch the magic happen! Learn more about adding images and video with step-by-step tips on Learn.WordPress.com.

What a great layout!

Yes we are now on the second day of the hop, for your inspiration.  Hosted by Creations with Kathryn.  I will make this simple and sweet as usual and let you get on with the hop.

I do hope you are having a great time, seeing both days and all the great projects!

Here is a layout I did for you with the Recollections paper pack from last year’s collection.  I just love this paper it is so beautiful, and it went great with my little pumpkin’s pics.   Using Happy Haunting cricut cartridge all over again for the cuts, made a perfect layout!

I hope you are having a fabulous weekend and ready to roll with some new ideas!! After all this is the best time of year to craft!

Craft Ghetto

20111016-171755.jpg

Hello again! I had a wonderful birthday last week and I now need to make a lot of thank you cards for my fantastic family. So, I thought I should try my hand at one of the sketches at card patterns. I also thought I would challenge myself and make the card using scraps. I’m really happy with how it turned out, I only wish I made the flower a little smaller.

I used Cricut cartridges “accent essentials” for the flower and “paperlace 1” for the medallion. I also inked just about everything with 3 ink colors, a gold, a coral, and a burnt orange.

And of course I had to do something on the inside, however a little simpler than I normally do because I wanted to leave room for my personal message. Thanks!

A New Look & A New Blog!

Welcome to my new blog! As this is a work in progress it will take awhile before I get everything done and figured out. I have imported all the posts etc, from my old blog and hopefully you will enjoy looking at my work and leave me some comments. I absolutely love my Cricut Expression and over the summer bought an Imagine as well. Hopefully I will be able to post some of my new cards this week as I learn my way around this blog.

I’m back!

It’s me again!  I have started a new blog and a new look!  Hope you like it!  As the name of my blog states, this is all about Cricut and what I have made with my Cricut Expression.  I love to create new cards, home decor and some scrapbooking.  I have been mostly using digital scrapbooking but have been playing around with printing the digital version and then adding my cricut cuts to it.  When I finish this I will definitely post the results.  Eventually I will be able to share my gypsy files as well.  Thanks for looking.
