Sophie Anniversary Card

Saturday was my 34th wedding anniversary!  I made this card for my husband.  I used the Circle exclusive Sophie cartridge. This is one cartridge I am so glad to have. It is full of cards for all occasions.   I found exactly what I wanted on page 22 of the booklet.  I thought the lovebirds would be cute but also more elegant for the occasion.  I cut the card base at 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ from the cream color cardstock from the  DCVW Shimmer stack.  I also cut the liner at 2 3/4″ by 4 1/4″  from the  DCVW Mariposa stack. I got out my Cuddlebug and embossed the card using the Divine Swirl embossing folder.  Next, I used chalk to bring the embossing to life and inked the edges of the card with a dark blue.  Time to move to the inside.  I glued the liner to the upper  inside of the card.   I couldn’t find a stamp that I thought would work for this, so I went to my Creative Memories Storybook Creator software.  I created a custom sentiment for the inside to  print.  A little trimming and I was done.  I hope you like it!

I figured it out!!

I finally figured out how to make a picture gallery!  As I didn’t add pictures of all the cards and such I did over the summer, I thought I would make up a gallery to showcase all my work.  If you need instructions or have any questions, leave me a comment and I’ll get back to you.  I used my Cricut for all of these.  I do have gypsy files for most of my work and would be willing to share them as soon as I figure out how to add that type of link.  Until I do you could ask me for them, give me your email address and I will send the file to anyone who would like a copy o the files.  Hope you like my work!  I would love to hear what you think! Thanks for looking.

Sympathy Card

I think one of the hardest things to make is a Sympathy Card. I went online and found ideas. Everything I used to make the card was cut out with my Cricut. It took quite a bit of scrap paper to get the words to be placed exactly where I wanted them. I got the idea of using the velum from a blog I visited. I can’t remember which one, I visited so many to find just the right one. After finding this idea, the rest just came together. I embossed a cuttlebug flower in the corner of the envelope as well as the inside of the card then used a little smooch to shine it up,  and make it stand out even more and finished with a few jewels with my irock I am quite happy with the result and have saved the file on my Gypsy. If you are interested in the file, let me know, and I’ll give better directions as well as the cartridges used.  Hope you like it. Leave a comment! Thanks
